a pending U.S. patent application:

  Failure-Diverse Verification, Persistent Decision Reconciliation,
  and Evidence-Conditioned Action Authority"
  Filed by Mike Carroll and Ryan Cahalane, co-inventors.

The Apache License, Version 2.0 (Section 3) grants you a patent license
from the Licensor covering the Contributions made available in this
repository, on the terms stated in that License — including its patent
retaliation clause (Section 3): that grant terminates for any entity that
initiates patent litigation alleging this Work infringes a patent.

This notice is informational and does not modify the License. It exists so
that anyone building on this tool understands there is an active patent
application covering the underlying methodology, consistent with standard
"Patent Pending" disclosure practice.

METHODOLOGY / BRAND

This tool implements the "One Degree Antifragility Audit" methodology.
The public description of the methodology (a consulting offering distinct
from this open-source implementation) is at:

"One Degree" and associated branding are not licensed for use under the
Apache License's grant (see LICENSE Section 6, Trademarks) — you're free
to use, modify, and redistribute this tool under Apache 2.0, but naming a
derivative or a commercial offering "One Degree [anything]" without
permission is a separate question from the code license.
